Cabinet making some say is a lost art. The art of
cabinet making started in the early 18th
century but was soon over powered by companies that
could mass-produce them. By the early 19th
century companies that could mass produce cabinets were
wide spread around the globe and they could offer
cabinets at a much cheaper price than traditional
cabinet makers. These companies were making cabinets at
prices everyone could afford. Then came the mid
nineties when the craft era began and traditional
cabinet making made a come back. These cabinets that
are hand made are more expensive than those made in a
factory but the quality of the craftsmanship cannot be
duplicated in a machine shop.
